A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all those who have raised or are currently raising funds on our behalf.  Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Suzy Leeming

Suzy has set out a year of challenges and in her 3rd challenge decided to undertake a skydive on behalf of the Limbless Association.

Her page can be found here.

Lucy Hems

Lucy is running the Rock ‘N’ Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon on 15/04/2012.  She has decided to run the Marathon following a dramatic turn of events that saw her father having a left below knee amputation in September.  As she puts it “…The main idea is that while Dad is faced with his challenge, I am also going to face a challenge which will also take a great deal of hard work…..”

Her story can be found here.

Mark Dodds

Mark and his friend Rob Mackmurdie will be running the Brighton Marathon and raising funds for the Limbless Association on 15 April 2012..

Mark gave us a few words on his reasons for running the marathon:

“In a moment of madness I decided with my best friend Rob to get fit and run the Brighton Marathon, having not trained or kept myself fit for a few years since retiring from playing rugby, also I was concerned that it would soon be more difficult to see my feet so this seemed an excellent idea. I would like to thank the Limbless Association for giving me the opportunity of running and I am delighted that I will hopefully be able to raise some money for this excellent charity helping all people with limb loss.

I will be 43 years old when I run the Brighton marathon, 11 years after I completed my only other Marathon in London. I am married to Jessica we have 3 daughters and a granddaughter. Still live in my home town of Brighton and I help run a business near Gatwick servicing and supplying Multifunctional Printers and Photocopiers. I enjoying playing golf most weekends.”

Good luck to them both!
