Thank you to our wonderful team of Volunteer Visitors!

Volunteers’ Week provides the platform for organisations across the country to celebrate the important role of volunteers. The Limbless Association will be celebrating the difference volunteers make to the charity and thanking our wonderful team of Volunteer Visitors for their time and dedication during this year’s Volunteers’ Week, which runs from 1st-7th June.

Throughout the week we will be launching a range of new content showcasing the great work of our volunteers, as well as the impact this has in supporting amputees across the country. We’ll also be sharing more information about the Volunteer Visitor programme and how to get involved. As a leading limb loss charity, we engage and rely on volunteers to help us deliver services within the limb loss community. In fact, our flagship service – the VV programme – is at the heart of what we do. Our Volunteer Visitors help us to achieve our vision that ‘no amputee need cope alone’.

The charity is committed to developing volunteering throughout the organisation to the benefit of all and in ensuring that our volunteers are well supported and have the best possible experience of volunteering with us.

For us, the limb loss community is filled with many wonderful people who give their time freely and willingly to help others – and by giving back, they too reap the rewards that volunteering brings.

How are we celebrating our Volunteers?

Along with our blogs, we are posting new content on our social media platforms throughout the week and will also be hosting several events to celebrate and promote volunteering at the LA.

This includes:
