Thank you to the attendees of our Stepping Forward Together Seminar 2017 Series. A special thank you also goes out our sponsors Ottobock and venue hosts Fieldfisher, Clarke Willmott and Slater & Gordon whose support has been invaluable.

Judging by the feedback that we have received our seminars were very well received and met our target aims.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of hosting these events and feel honoured to encourage learning and connecting as a group. We hope to put on more events like this next year.

The LA’s aims for our seminars was to provide a shared learning environment and an opportunity to connect with fellow amputees, sector professionals and key topics and we scored an average of 4.6 out of 5 for meeting these aims across all three events. We asked you ‘what did you enjoy the most’ and it was clear that the shared learning and networking was most popular, some of our favourite responses about your thoughts on the day can be found below:

‘Essentially everything about the day!’

‘Great day all around – very useful networking’

‘Getting a feel for the group. Very varied individual stories’

‘All of it! But networking was great’

‘Information and shared first-hand experience’

There was a great interest across the board for all topics but given the imminent NHS service review this seems to have sparked a lot of interest in the NHS England discussions. Don’t forget to have your say via our survey here, these responses will be kept confidential and forwarded to Carolyn Young for review. Our overall content scored an average of 4.7 out of 5 with some great suggestions for additional topics in the future.

Someone from the class of 2017 said ‘Based on today's event, ensure that we cover the whole country - if this is possible!’ well we can confirm that we are in the early stages of preparing for our 2018 seminar series and we hope to host more events to reach other parts of the UK.
