The National Lottery Community Funding awarded to the Limbless Association LA

£367,561 over three years

Volunteer Visitor – we’re celebrating The National Lottery Funding Success!

We are proud and super excited to announce that the Limbless Association has been successful in applying to The National Lottery Community Fund. We’ve been awarded an incredible £367,561! towards the national development of the LA’s peer mentoring project – Volunteer Visitors – over three years. This is truly amazing news! As many of you are aware, our Volunteer Visitor network in its current form has been around for many years playing a wonderful and valuable role to the limb loss community.

Many of you have been supported by or have supported as Volunteer Visitors yourselves for which we are hugely grateful. However, as an important service increasingly in demand we recognised the need to grow and develop it further. This significant funding boost will allow us to support many more amputees and families in need as well as being able to offer our Volunteer Visitors a variety of training and development opportunities, peer networking and support.

Funding will enable us to recruit project staff, support and develop increasing numbers of volunteers along with other key outcomes including the commissioning of an important piece of sector research. Enormous thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and the generosity of lottery players! Keep in touch via the LA’s social media, website and other communications for project updates. If you’re already registered as a Volunteer Visitor or have registered your interest in the last few months, you’ll be hearing from us soon.
