Calling all DSCs and User Groups – Rehabilitation Garden

25th April 2012

We have been approached by the BBC regarding a new gardening programme that it is commissioning.  The 4-part series is focussed on transforming/installing a garden or open space for good causes and we were contacted with regard to sourcing a possible hospital, DSC or group that is considering such a project.

In our discussion with the BBC, we suggested that a garden similar to that recently opened at the Luton and Dunstable DSC would be an ideal rehabilitation garden and such a garden with a high hard landscaping content would be a fantastic addition to a DSC. As such, the BBC would welcome contact from any DSC or User Group that has been planning such a garden or seeking funding for one.

Unfortunately, the filming schedule for the series is such that the BBC is looking to decide on a suitable project within the next week. This means that any plans need to already exist and you will need to contact the BBC as soon as possible. If your DSC/User Group meets this criterion, please contact Zara Akester at zara.akester@renegadepictures.co.uk.
