The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched a consultation exercise on the second draft of the assessment criteria for Personal Independence Payment. In particular, it is seeking views on the changes that have been made since the first draft, the proposed descriptor weightings and entitlement thresholds and the draft regulations. The consultation document can be found here.
In setting out this consultation exercise, the DWP has noted that it does not envisage making significant changes to the broad principles or scope of the assessment and consequently is not seeking views on these areas. However, notwithstanding this, you may wish to reiterate your earlier views in the light of the recent review of the consultation exercise (click here to read more).
